Dr. Robert Gray graduated with honors from Lehi High School where he was involved in football, basketball, and baseball, along with the FFA. He attended Brigham Young University (BYU) on a four- year full ride Spencer W. Kimball Scholarship.
He graduated from BYU with his bachelor degree in Microbiology and a minor in Chemistry. After BYU, Dr. Gray attended the University of Houston where he obtained his Doctor of Optometry degree. While there, he won the National Best Contact Lens New Doctor award twice, as a 3rd and 4th year optometry student. He was also awarded the Nikon scholarship. He did toxicology research on lead poisoning in the lateral geniculate /optic tract and retina. He also helped with Radial keratotomy studies on rabbit cornea’s.
Dr. Robert Gray served on the Pearle vision national optometry board for 3 years, the Utah Optometric Association board for the over 5 years. He was the President of the the Utah Optometric Association from 2017-2018.
He owns Eyecare of Lehi where he specializes in Keratoconus, Macular Degeneration and Glaucoma. His passions are his family, faith, fishing, golf, and BYU sports. He was born and raised in Lehi, Utah where he has resided for the past 28 years. He was married to the late Lisa Goble Gray for 37 years before her passing in 2018. They are the parents of 6 children. He married Suzie Thomas Eagar in 2021. Dr. Gray is the proud grandpa of 17 grandchildren.
Dr. Collin Gray was born and raised in Lehi Utah. He attended Lehi High school where he played for the state championship soccer team in 2010. After graduating high school, he served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Córdoba, Argentina. He later attended Brigham Young University (BYU) majoring in Microbiology and was heavily involved in the Allied Health Club - Optometry division. Before starting his senior year at BYU, he married the love of his life Abbie Bird.
After graduating BYU, he attended University of Houston College of Optometry. He was involved in many clubs and won several awards while attending UHCO. He was president of the OSA Equipment room, 2020 class representative, CooperVision Ambassador for the school, won Teaching Assistant of the year, and received a clinical letter of excellence award.
During his last year of school, he rotated through the Indian Health Service Santa Fe location, where he was a primary care provider for the nine Pueblos surrounding the Santa Fe region, specializing in Diabetic Eye Disease, Glaucoma, and other posterior segment diseases.
He also rotated through the Lackland Air Force base in San Antonio providing primary eye care to the active duty military along with their families, and retired military personnel. He worked closely with Refractive Surgeons contributing to Post-Operative care while stationed at Lackland.
While at his last rotation at UHCO, he was selected to participate in the Dry Eye Service and The Ocular Surface Institute helping in the treatment of severe anterior segment disease.
Dr. Collin Gray specializes in Corneal Refractive Therapy and specialty lens fittings, Myopia Management, Dry Eye, Pediatrics, and Management of Ocular Disease.
While not seeing patients, Dr. Collin Gray enjoys serving in his community, and in his church congregation. He also loves BYU sports, watching the Office, and playing intramural soccer. Dr. Collin Gray welcomed a baby boy in October of 2021.
