LIGHT THERAPY

IPL - INTENSE PULSED LIGHT THERAPY

For Dry Eye Treatment

This light therapy is used to stimulate the cells around the eyelids and unclog the meibomian glands, in turn helping them secrete oil and lubricate our eyes naturally thus reducing dry eye symptoms. This form of therapy is recommended to be done in 4 sessions for optimum results. It is done in a spot treatment form, administering the laser pulses on and around the eyelids.

RF - Radiofrequency with IPL

Radiofrequency can be used most effectively in combination with IPL as it heals the eyelid tissues in which the meibomian glands are located. IPL targets the inflammation of the glands while RF targets the structure of the glands. RF has cosmetic benefits as well, by heating the dermis tissue, it promotes stronger and firmer skin by activating the production of collagen.

LLLT - Low Level Light Therapy

LLLT is used to repair and improve cell function, accelerating the repair of tissues and reducing inflammation. This therapy is also effective in improving skin texture. Different light settings provide different benefits.

Light treatment is offered in combination with IPL and done as a photofacial, each facial lasting about 15 minutes.

The Holy Grail

This light setting has both aesthetic and therapeutic benefits. It not only aids in repairing meibomian gland dysfunction, but it heals eyelid issues such as blepharitis and styes. It has been shown to help with the effects of Sjorgren’s disease on dry eyes. Aesthetically, it improves skin texture and tone, and alleviates dry skin.

The Purifier

This setting penetrates the skin and targets bacteria, which helps irritation around the eyes. This setting is effective in clearing blepharitis and demodex (mites on the lashes). As for its skin benefits it helps clear rosacea, blackheads, and hyperpigmentation.

The Healer

This setting has positive effects on blood circulation and the lymphatic system. It visibly reduces redness, sun damage, and helps even skin tone. It is great for providing patients a rejuvenating experience for their skin.

The Diffuser

This setting is known for deep tissue penetration and aids in cell regeneration. This setting is the best for aiding and accelerating the natural healing process of the tissue.
