IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) Therapy
IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is a type of non-invasive light-based therapy that uses high-intensity pulses of light to target & treat various skin conditions:
Rosacea: IPL can help reduce the appearance of rosacea by targeting the tiny blood vessels that cause redness and flushing.
Hyper-Pigmentation: IPL can also be used to treat pigmentation issues such as sunspots, age spots, and freckles.
Skin Rejuvenation: IPL can also help improve overall skin tone and texture by stimulating collagen production.
Neurotoxins
Botox: is the most well-known neurotoxin and has been used for cosmetic purposes for over two decades. Botox is approved by the FDA to treat moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead lines. It can also be used off-label to treat other areas, such as the chin, neck, and jawline.
Xeomin: was approved by the FDA in 2011 to treat moderate to severe frown lines. Xeomin is a “naked” neurotoxin, meaning it does not contain any proteins or additives. This may reduce the risk of developing antibodies to the neurotoxin.
Micro-needling Facials
A minimally invasive procedure that creates micro-injuries in the skin, triggering the body's natural healing response and stimulating collagen production. The treatment may be enhanced using topical agents such as hyaluronic acid or PRP.
Hyaluronic Acid is the basic topical treatment we use for micro-needling. It helps the skin stretch and flex reducing skin wrinkles and lines. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP)is a concentration of growth factors and other healing compounds found in the patient's own blood, when used as a topical agent for the procedure it gives 10 times the collagen/elastin production compared to Hyaluronic Acid.
The PRP micro-needling facial requires a blood draw at time of appointment.
